Goal Setting
Set goals to reach milestones for better mental fitness
Get a sense of achievement to boost your mood
It’s hard to play your A game if your confidence is low and you don’t have much drive. Having something to aim for – goal setting – is a really good way of setting up healthy structures for growth in your life. A goal can be anything, big or small, that you’re hoping to achieve. Setting one can give you focus which in turn gives you motivation and energy.
Putting it into practise
Think about the level of your goal setting. Don’t make it so easy that it’s barely worth bothering with. Push yourself. But don’t set yourself one that you know is completely unachievable. To get the best performance possible, try the SMART format – Specific, Measurable, Accurate, Realistic and Timely. And try sharing your goal with people around you. It’s your goal but their support will really help.
