Identifying Your Strengths
Know your strengths to feel happier and play your A game
Play to your strengths for more confidence and self-esteem
It can be really easy to focus on your weaknesses and think about what’s missing, what you’re not brilliant at, where other people appear to be better than you. But it’s important to identify what your strengths are. Because when you play to them, you achieve more and feel happier as a result.
Whatever your strengths are, be proud of them and make sure you use them as much as you can. You’ll feel more satisfied and confident as a result.
How to put it into practise
Everybody’s different. Think of life like a team sport; everyone has different roles, strengths and weaknesses. By identifying your strengths, you can learn where best to place yourself in certain situations.
If you know that you’re good at solving practical problems, look for areas in your life you can do this. It might be bringing new ideas to your team at work, or volunteering to help people in your own time. If you’re good with people, look for opportunities to showcase this part of you.
